Circuit gîte to gîte

The gite is situated in the Valley of Ustou in the Haut-Couserans in the south west part of Ariege, in the Central Pyrenees. We are 1.45 hours from Toulouse and the airport of Blangac, about 2 hours from Carcasson and from Pas de la Case near Andorra, and about 3 hours from Perpignan and Pau.

From Toulouse take the autoroute towards Tarbes and Lourdes for 70 kms. After half an hour leave the autoroute at exit 20 towards St Gironde (without worrying about the sign which says “last exit before payage” which is wrong!). Go as far as St Girons (20 minutes, 28 kms) and go in the direction of Eychel, Lacourt and especially Guzet on the D618 or the D3. After Lacourt go as far as the roundabout at Kerkabanac.





Take a right turn towards Oust, Seix and Guzet (careful not to take direction Guzet via Aulus at the next roundabout). You go across Seix, still direction Guzet on the D3 as far as the Taule bridge. On the left, direction Guzet, you enter the valley of Ustou. You pass the Trein d’Ustou and just after you take a right turn direction St Lizier d’Ustou. You cross St Lizier and 3 kms later, past l’Arial, you’ve arrived at l’Escolan, a big building with a tile roof on the right of the road. In front there is space for you to park.
