Synopsis
How, in three days, can you discover a mountainous region with marvellous
countryside, find yourself with your lover or amongst friends, enjoy sport
and meet new faces all at the same time? This is what we offer you in this
circuit in the Haut- Couserans.
Day 1.
Arrive at L’Escolan during the day. France will
explain to you the itinerary for the next day and provide you with your annotated
map and explanatory guide.
Day 2
You climb to the inescapable plateau d’Ajeou
and descend on the other side. A last climb leads you as far as Cominac and
from there you reach the
gite of Bernadole (about 7 hours walk).
Day 3
A small stage between Bernadole and la Comte where you can day-dream before
the grandiose landscape of Mont-Valier (about 4h30 walk).
Day 4
After a good breakfast, return by the Valley of Garbet
where you will rejoin the plateau d’Ajeou by way of a track that used to be used for summering
cattle. You rejoin the col de Latrape and end your trek on the GR10 as far
as L’Escolan. (about 7 hours walk)
Your stay is complete, but you can come back to discover the 4/5 stage hike around the Haut-Couserans or the mountain bike circuits.
